The HR-D77 is designed for Verizon and is based on Microlab HR-20series DC Blocks. These are used to prevent the flow of directcurrent and low frequency current surges along the inner conductor ofa transmission line, while permitting the unimpeded flow of RFsignals. Applications include the blocking of current surges insubway tunnels, at antenna sites during lightning storms and to routeDC to tower mounted amplifiers.

The unit consists of a length of coaxial line with a distributed series capacitor in the centerconductor to block the flow of DC and low frequencies, while passingRF with negligible loss or reflections. (4/12)
