A hoisting grip must be chosen before lifting cable inside of themonopole. There are two main types of industry hoisting grips forcoaxial foam cable: non-laced and laced.

The laced grip pulls the cable upward but is not designed to supportthe weight of the cable after installation. It will function assupport for the cable when a calibrated clamp is attached to thebottom of the grip's interwoven mesh.
